Infusible Ink - T -Shirt Project

My next #InfusibleInk by #Cricut project was a t-shirt. Circut suggests using their blanks for their projects and I found their poly/rayon blend shirt to be very stretchy. It breathes well and I've no doubt it will be very comfortable. For this project, I decided to use Infusible Ink sheets. Using Design Space, I created a design incorporating a bee and crafts. I sliced the words out of the pictures then was sure to cut the sliced words out. You'll see why shortly! Remember to MIRROR your settings before you cut.

Infusible Ink sheets come in a variety of colors and patterns.

Now time to weed! The Infusible Ink sheets are thicker than vinyl and feel like paper.

Now you can see why I cut out the letters I'd sliced out of the images. I cut the "B Crafty" cute out of the yellow using red. And I cut "Lori" out of yellow.

Because the Infusible Ink sheet backers are sticky, I could carefully add the cut letters into the opposite color sheets. See how I saved the sliced letters? I thought I could save them for another projects. We crafters hate wasting anything!

Now to prep the shirt. I put a piece of white cardstock inside the shirt in case any ink bled through. Then I used a lint roller to make sure any bit of lint is off the shirt. I then put a piece of butcher paper on the shirt and pressed it with my Easy Press at 385 degress for 15 seconds to remove any wrinkles.

After letting if cool completely, please the design face down on the t-shirt (backer side up). Then cover it with a piece of butcher paper. Cricut includes pieces of butcher paper with each roll of Infusible Ink.

Press design at 385 degrees for 40 seconds. Let cool, the pull up the butcher paper then the transfer sheet. If any pieces of your design or the transfer sheet are left on the shirt, use tweezers to lift them.

Here's the 2nd part of my design now pressed onto my shirt.

Here's the final product! A very cute Lori B Crafty tshirt!
